Lakecity Animal Hospital Veterinarian - Vet Clinics Team Mira

Mira

Practice Manager

I always grew up with family pets and felt a strong connection to them; so I knew from a very young age that I wanted to work with animals. I joined the veterinary world in 2022 after graduating from the Veterinary Health Care Assistant Program with CDI College.
Being able to help and care for animals everyday is a childhood dream come true.

My passion for veterinary medicine continues to grow each day with every pet that comes through our doors. It’s especially rewarding to gain the trust of a fearful pet and be able to provide them with a positive vet visit. I am passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment where our team can thrive and our clients feel heard, valued, and confident in the care their pets receive.

I am always looking to expand my knowledge in this field and continuously improve the experience we provide to our community.

During my downtime, I enjoy doing makeup, baking, going on walks, and snuggling up on the couch with my rescue pup Minnow.

Veterinary Assistant

I started working at a vet clinic in 2023 but have known it was something I’ve wanted to do for a while. I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology but hope to pursue a career as a veterinarian in the near future. I have always loved helping and caring for animals and have had cats and dogs my whole life. I learn and gain more experience everyday and I am grateful to be working with such wonderful people!

Isrena

Veterinary Assistant

Hi, I’m Isrena — a veterinary assistant with a deep love for animals. I’m passionate about creating a calm, compassionate experience for every patient, whether that means comforting a nervous pet, supporting owners through difficult moments, or helping make routine visits a little less stressful.

I’ve always believed animals deserve patience, kindness, and gentle care. Working in veterinary medicine allows me to combine empathy with hands-on medical support, and I take pride in being someone both pets and clients can feel safe around.
Outside of the clinic, I’m an animal lover through and through — especially when it comes to my three black cats, who constantly remind me why this work matters so much to me. My goal is always to help every animal feel cared for, understood, and genuinely loved.

I started working at Lakecity Animal hospital in 2024, being apart of the team here is very rewarding. My favourite part of working in vet med is helping people feel supported and comforted while their pets receive care.
Outside of work I love to travel, make art and hangout with my two cats Cosmo and Drizzy.

Veterinary Assistant

I joined Lakecity Animal Hospital in late 2025 and have loved being able to learn more about veterinary medicine while caring for animals every day. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, especially with my three bunnies and puppy at home, so working in the clinic feels incredibly rewarding. I enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and helping make their visits as comfortable as possible. My goal is to one day become an orthopaedic veterinarian, and I’m excited to continue learning and growing in the veterinary field while meeting all the amazing pets that come through the clinic.

Veterinary Student

Having always been passionate about animal health and welfare, I pursued my veterinary education at a European-accredited veterinary school, graduating in 2025. I am currently completing my licensing requirements as I work toward practicing as a veterinarian at the hospital. In my role as a technician, I’m dedicated to providing compassionate care to every patient while supporting both pets and the people who love them. I’m grateful to be part of a field where I can combine medicine, empathy, and a lifelong love of animals to make a meaningful difference every day.

West Kelowna veterinary staff clinic cat Bart

Bart

As many may not know, I am a girl.

I was brought to my home clinic in Kamloops when I was 6 months old. I was brought in through a rescue with mastitis after delivering a litter of kittens. The girls fell in love with me and named me Bart since I reminded them of Bart Simpson. I can be bratty. I’m normally up from waiting for attention from clients or staff. I love to pickpocket in purses or snuggle in my bed. If you can’t find me upfront, I’m probably snuggling in the back with my brother or trying to steal the staff’s lunch.

I lived in Kamloops working as a clinic cat at the same clinic that rescued me until September of 2024 where I moved to Kelowna to continue my clinic cat career.

West Kelowna veterinary staff clinic cat Sidekick

Sidekick

I get my name from my stubbornness to move from my chosen spot – usually whenever the staff is trying to sit. I like to sleep all day in a cozy chair or lay on your lap for snuggles. I may look grumpy, but I love attention and chin scratches. I’m an old man so I’m usually in the back sleeping under blankets with my sister or waiting for staff to sit down so I can curl up in their lap. If I’m ever upfront I’m usually in my bed under the desk since I’m a little antisocial.
